Is there any way of seeing the other hidden recipients of an email? i.e. If a potential customer emails all vendors in a market with one Request for Information how can I, as one of those vendors, see which other ones he's been in contact with?

I don't think you can, that's the point of the bcc option.

If you're using BCC, then no. I believe that the originating MTA (mail transfer agent) ensures that the BCC recipient names are stripped from the outgoing email before it arrives in the destination MTA (and the client's mailbox).

Sometimes I'm not very good with these technical explanations... hope you followed that.

You can't. Thats why its there.

On Lotus Notes you can see who a person sent the mail to, including BCCs, but you need access to the server log.

We had a troublesome bastard on a support desk at a previous customer who used to love BCC'ing people on shitty mails he used to send us. We would just copy all of the other BCC'd people in on the reply.

He stopped doing it soon after.

Cheers. Was just wondering if there's some sneaky loophole.
