Maybe they got them confused with tax-return forms, what with them being the same thing and all...

The local County Coucil are considering lowering the limits permanently now as they claim the accident rate on the road has dropped dramatically and the revenue from the tickets has increased dramatically

Vehicle emmissions must be up 30% due to the lower limit - where are the protests from those two-faced tree-huggers at Greenpeace?

All limits should be raised to 55mph - for the sake of our children.

Win - win? What about all the people who saw their insurance premiums rise as a result of their ticket? What about the time and aggravation involved in getting the DVLA to take points OFF their licence? What about the cost to the tax payer of sorting out the paperwork? What about the waste of police time and resources enforcing the wrong speed limit?

And now they claim they've reduced accidents. Where's the statistical proof?

Honestly, these people make me laugh...

yep tax returns and speeding fines are the same, question is when does it get to the point when drivers start losing their licences surely this excessive policy has a beaking point somewhere?

"This one is, in my view, something of a win-win situtation."

What sort of attitude is this for a PUBLIC SERVANT to take?

First thing in January this F*****R should be looking for a new non council job!

As for a WIN/WIN situation, what about anyone who lost their licence/employment suing this particular head of department into the dark ages.MoJo.

A win/ win situation would be one where his head was on stick, sited at the same spot as his beloved speed trap.
Would serve as a warning to jumped up little shitehawks, (this is what will happen to you)from irate motorists.
I hate this place.

I would imagine that half the population losing their license would also be seen as a win win situation.

We would then be told that it was due to the success of public transport.

This would of course compound the speeding issue, as with less cars on the road, and therefore less congestion, we could all speed up a little.
