Sorry to be a nuisance - put up a post about three weeks ago asking if anyone could help me out with a spare Cat for a 4.2 Cerb. Car is at Racing Green for service MOT and new clutch and one of my cats went phut in the summer. I've been up to my eyes in it for the last three weeks so was not able to follow though on a couple of offers from people closeish to me in London or Racing Green and the post is no longer in the archive so can't see who they were. If the original offer still stands or if anyonew else can help I would be v grateful Can collect and re-deliver to you. Don't think there is any difference between the 4.2 and 4.5 but the measurement to fit is 430mm. Thanks in advance.

Hi mate

I have a pair off my 4.5, I am in Guildford and you are welcome to borrow them...just need to check that pesky length!

I'll mail you tomorrow, if that works for you?

Same here, 4.5's but sounds like you sorted as he's a little closer.

I've got a pair of 4.2 cats sitting in the garage.

I do shift work, but won't be back in London till Thursday night.

I'll check the length in the morning & update this post.

Drop me a mail through my profile if I can help.

Right, measured mine and they're 410mm from end to end, and only 380mm from fitting flange to fitting flange (if you see what I mean!). Don't know how sensitive the fitting is to length...

Many 4.2s use 4.5 cats. But 4.5 cats wont fit a 4.2 that doesnt already use 4.2s (without more work).
