What no cats?

I have just been informed by my local MOT station that as from January of next year, you do not have to have catalytic converters fitted as long as the car passes the co emisions, sounds great, if this is the case, all you'll need is two different resistors! any views on this matter?

Seems fair - the crux of the matter is whether it passes the emissions, not whether it has cats. They don't check for those, only the emissions!
