Didn't somebody on here post a link to a video of a Red 04 CV8 with a Wortec exhaust late last summer?
It was an excellent demo and I went and got the upgrade on the strength of it.
I have video'd mine, but it needs editing and hosting. I'll try and get it done sometime.

That was me - but I lost that clip a while back.
I'm gonna make a new one next week after I've had the headers done. In fact I'm gonna do a before and after clip and if it's any good I'll post it up. It is an awesome upgrade - infact I'd say it is one of the best upgrades for that "wow" and "f@ck me" factor.
Oh no, please don't do a headers one . It'll only make me want to bend the plastic even more.
You cost me enough when you posted that first vid up. If I get these headers because of you, I think my wife may want a word with you.
And yes, the standard Wortec cat back has undoubtedly got that 'Wow, what the **** is that?' factor. The amount of people who stop and turn to see what's coming is awesome.
For track days, if you put headers on as well, how does it fair db wise? Is it enough to get you banned from the track?
(I was yellowperilv8 but I've been playing with my profile - nothing on telly tonight)

I have a similar spec, no problems getting through the noise test at Bedford on the 14th of Jan. Although I did drive the car very slowly up the approach road to the noise meters
that was not the case on the track - Monaros sound awesome under full throttle with a decent exhaust on! Don't forget to do the air box mods as well for some intake noise (whoosh) then you have the full package

Speaking of air box mods, what about the one on this site (MAF pipes);
www.andy-saunders.co.uk/csperformance/#HomeStart
I was wondering if this would be of more advantage than the modified air box mod we already have on the Wortec upgrades. It does appear to be isolated and well sealed against heat being drawn in.
Also re the MAF pipe, my 05 appears to have a cable/wire connected to it, the pics on this site don't appear to have anything to be able to connect it to. It sounds a bit dubious that this pipe will add a slight increase in power or am I being too sceptical?

I have the CS MAF pipe it gives about +5bhp / 5ft/lbs torque as far as I remember, we tested the difference at one of the early abbey motorsport power runs. Not a lot i suppose but it does look good
ps you drill the hole yourself for the ambient air temp sensor, add a rubber grommet and its done, easy job. Air box mod with the cone filter looks good - i have the "2nd hole" mod & k&n filter - but i've had the odd occasion in very heavy rain where its let some water in, caused a slight misfire.

"Andy" has not produced a maf pipe for the 05 CV8 yet........but the 05 has a much better design than the 04 cars.
I have a maf pipe from Andy on my HSV and I keep on as it does look good.....does it produce more power than the HSV ones, we use in our pac's ?.....dyno sheets say NO but sometimes it needs to be form over function!!!!

LOL! Sorry mate. But you know you want to
Tell your wife you'll spend the equivalent on her - that always works. They forget after a while
