5 stud hub conversion

Anybody know whats involved and how much? (stupid question someone always knows !)
What parts are used and could they be (would it be wise ) to recover them or some of them from a breakers yard to keep costs down.Also price to upgrade brakes in the process and best ones to use.Probably going down the upgrade route (wheels /tyres/suspension/brakes )

I (amongst others) have engineered my own, however Ian at Retrocar/Sportmotive is doing them as well.

I can't claim to know anything about griffith hubs but on other 4 stud cars (not tvr's)the 'mod' was to fit rover 5 stud hubs. Granadas are also 5 stud I think.

I went for the factory kit,seemed good value @£1450,but I thick its gone up to £1650 now,still good value for 4 new wheels +tyres,300mm discs AP 4 pot calipers,goodridge hose's and all new hubs and bearings.
You could have your own hubs redrilled and new studs pressed in,you will need new 5-stud brake disks to suit.You could keep standard brakes or get some spacer brackets and fit some Tuscan AP 4 pots,oh and new wheels!,I think taking all this into account the factory kit does'nt seem exspensive!.

Forgot to say I sold my old wheels+tyres for £925 and brakes for £120,cost of fitting £160,so whole upgrade cost £565
