Carpet - edging tape (3000S)

Decided to replace some of the carpets and need to source some 1.0 inch & 1.5 inch black edging tape - thought it would be relatively easy(on the internet), but not so.
The old carpets have what looks like insulating tape (but not self-adhesive) which has been folded round the edge of the carpet and sewn in place.
I'll give Coverdale Carpets a call tomorrow, but there was nothing similar in their catalogue.

I believe the product you are looking for is called rexsine....this is used only in carpet trimming machines...it comes pre-folded on one end and is like you say rare, good trimmers would never be seen dead using it!
