I see of lot of posts on here from the South Coast and London, just wondering if there is anyone in Essex on here who would like to meet up for the preverbial amble throught the contryside in some of Italy's finest hardware?

Hi
We are in Essex. Willing to amble through the countryside, but unfortunately lack the Italian hardware.

If you dont get a better offer and you dont mind 'roughing' it with a TVR Sagaris and a Lotus Elise then e-mail me through my profile.

Yep - I live there - soome other Ferrari fans not too far away as well - I'm not sure how many Maserati owners hail from these parts. Definitely up for a run whenn the weather improves

Not exactly Essex, but near enough. NW Kent. If you allow foreigners and my passport is valid to get me north of the river, and the sun shines, Im up for it.

Great, looks like quite a few takers, anyone have any ideas on a good meeting spot? (btw I'm in Colchester). Also for runs? Road from Colchester-Sudbury-Halstead-Colchester is a particular favorite of mine with lots of decent country hostilries enroute for some refreshments.

When the weather improves looks like we will have to get something arranged

Hi Mazzer,

I used to do Essex runs from time to time - fantastic route, finishing in Finchingfield for pub lunch or swift pint before heading home. Planning another one in the not too distant future - I'll give you a shout. Keep an eye on the Essex forums too....

cheers,
Steve

Last time I was in Essex, I was amazed at how many locals were driving those big black vulgar Ford trucks with Harley Davidson markings and 20 inch chrome rims.

Masser3.2, I'm just outside Colchester too. The A134 Colchester/Sudbury is a cracking road. If you see me around, flash to say hi! I will be out Saturday morning for a blast before shopping.

I will be up for a run. Just let me know time/place etc.

Interesting comment - last time I was in Hants I was amazed at how many people were driving cars that were nicked ;-)

BTW guys, I'm also much nearer Halstead than Colchester!!! - some of the roads around here are really enjoyable...

How about we meet Sunday 19th Feb for a bit of a hoon... I don't mind morning/afternoon (whatever is most popular) - as a suggestion - 10.30am, for a good drive , then plan to find a pleasant pub with a decent car park for pictures/lunch ... etc.

any takers??
anyone wanna suggest their fave routes...??

Well... at least its a starter for 10....

ps Angelis, looking forward to seeing the Fcar in the flesh...

polished the maser tonight to within an inch for VW tomorrow (hoping for a dry day....)

Cheers
