Leatherhead junction on the verge between M'way & slip road (Heathrow direction) spotted tonight at 11:00pm (I guess I was doing around 85ish ). I assume this was a 'LT thingy' as there was a traf pol car next to it & a gentleman standing behind it looking through it at oncoming traffic....could have been ANPR, but didn't look like it at that time of night.....there was an old Pug 306 pulled over a mile or so further up though.
Any ideas what it may have been? - I know there was a thread a while ago about night-time speed traps (which I can't find) & aren't sure if they actually work or are even reliable in the dark!

Could have been a bit of good old speed detection. Lucky you were only doing 85 on the beast

Also Reigate to Leatherhead they like to hang out under the bridges, and then pop out and Vascar you.

Unmarked love to do people doing a ton down the long hill from Reigate to M23 junction.
