In the Telegraph today, a PC in South Wales was jailed for 3 months for...
Helping a friend to get off a £30 parking ticket!!!!!!!
He has lost his career, and forefit most of his pension. His friend has been given a 12 month conditional discharge. All for "perverting the course of justice"
OK, so he took the counterpart of the ticket for his friend and was caught. But 3 months!!! loss of his career!!!
I know it was dishonest, and that the Police should uphold the law, but getting out of a £30 parkign ticket is fair game in my book. Hasen't the CPS and the Police got better things to do then to enforce something started by the local Council??
What a waste of time, effot, money and a career...
