Recently whenever I go out driving (Friday excluded) I get stuck behind some clueless numpty in a matiz, or some maroon in an accent doing random lane changes.

I know an Matiz is a daewoo / chrysler but they are all the same crap.

Great one on saturday. Some "semi evolved simian" sitting in the outside lane of a dual carrigeway doing 45 and wouldnt move over.

It used to be Volvo drivers that would drive like this now it is the owners of malaysian cars.

Chap in my office had a Hyundai coupe. He reckoned it was the fastest thing in the car park. He's now got a Hyundia MPV, which apparently 'really shifts'...

Yes, I did try to get him in the Caterham - never managed it though. I did put my foot down in the 325i once when he was with me and he reacted like I'd set fire to his trousers!

Hee hee, fiery trousers made me laugh!

I guess it's down to the old saying "There are drivers, and drovers"

Some get it, some don't. Cant explain why great cars just don't move some people, but that's how it is. I know just because they have no taste doesn't mean they can't drive properly, but there does appear to be a pretty glaring link!

Pretty sure there's a clear scientific theory as to being dispassionate about cars and a complete slowing down / ignorance of road awareness..?

I always found (and amazingly still do!) that whenever in a hurry, I always got stuck behind a sodding Metro! (that also backs-up your Rover theory Benjy!)

As my dear old Gran used to say... "Get out of the way you f#*kin p*#ck!"

Everyone's different I suppose. My best mate can think of nothing better for a holiday than travelling on a river barge. I can think of nothing more boring, other than being sealed in a cardboard box for a week! Each to their own I guess

What does confuse and annoy me though is how people like this press you that their mass produced 2 litre box is quicker than your Caterham/Elise because the engine is bigger. We had a 5 litre BMW 8 series outside our office window for a while and I got sick of people coming up to my desk and pointing out "the beast". "Bet you'd like to get your hands on that eh?" they'd say, spying my Caterham pictures on my desk. oh dear!

What are the most "numpty" cars that are only owned by numpty drivers.

Start with

Accent
Matiz
Metro
Vulva 340

Rover 200
Atosser or whatever it's called
All those stupid new things that are about 2 feet wide and 10 feet high.

Usually these people start reeling off MPG figures, which they've been recording in a book for years. OFF I'M NOT INTERESTED

My great aunty has a Metro. She's a hazard to every other road user who encounters her, I can guarantee it..

I hate people carriers of any description - always sit doing 70 and never move over. 'Spose it's so they can get loads of s in one vehicle.

I can't believe that no-one has mentioned Micras yet, whenever I get stuck in a queue which appears to be caused by a lorry, I get to the front only to find a Micra seemingly stuck to its front bumper. All the drivers I had to overtake to get past the lorry annoy me as well; I normally wait to see if anyone is going to use an overtaking opportunity, if two pass without any action from the other cars I'm off, and then normally to a hail of lights and horns. Has somebody made overtaking illegal??

Oh, and people who tow caravans with the feeblest engined dullmobile that they can find, they then travel bunched up in formation so that you can't just pass one at a time you need to wait for a really big gap to stand a chance of passing. For the cost of a new caravan you could stay for months in a nice hotel (and you could get there by train to keep you off the road).

Okay, not a car type but you get my drift

Micras, definately. Always driven by dizzy old buggers who have no idea what's going on in general.

Oi! Watch it mate.

Zak, the Atoz (Atos) Prime driver.

Can I suggest that you save at least 50p and put a shoe box on a skate board.

"Cheap" makes a car affordable, rarely does it make it good.

Honda Accords and non-TypeR Civics
All Rover 200, 400 and 600 series
Toyota Corrola's
Anything made by Daewoo
Basic Pug 306/405's

Generally owned and driven by biddies, housewives, and numpties who somehow have a drivers license. They tend also to be found in the middle lane of motorways at 50mph, nose pressed up against the windscreen, chin on the top of the wheel, looking intently forwards like a racehorse with blinkers on.

As dangerous, if not more so, than drunk drivers.

Dont care about the car, just the bad drivers.

Anyone that doesnt leave space between cars so that others can overtake if they arent going to. Anyone that lane hogs. For all I care they can be driving an Aston, if they are doing the above, they are nuisance

Have you actually tried one? It's great around corners and surprisingly zippy.
