Flickery alarm/immobiliser lights

My griffith has the Meta alarm/immobiliser system. Recently I've noticed something odd. The LED near the heater panels (top one of the 2 on the right) appears to be simulating a disco. Sometimes it's off, sometimes red, sometimes green, and quite often it's having a red/green strobe effect!

It doesn't appear to effect anything (immobiliser doesn't cut-in mid drive etc and the alarm functions as it should). I'm suspecting a dodgy connection so will be removing the dash and reseating the connectors in the box, but before I do has anyone else experienced this and know what else it might be? Are there sensors anywhere that could cause this to go wappy (what sensors does the Meta have? apart from the microwave and voltage-drop etc)

That light is not to do with the alarm/immob, its the ice detector light. Reason its probably been flickering is due to the cold temps over the last week. It should be green at 5 degrees or less, yellow/orange at 2 or less and red at 0 or less. Its common for the sensor to fail and the LED to stay red. The alarm light is the one on the bottom right.
