Im interested.

I went for a works do there last summer a couple of months after I got my Chimaera. On the way home I pulled up in the left hand lane of a set of traffic lights to go straight over and some twat drove up alongside me in the "right turn" lane just as the lights changed to green and carried on going to go straight over . Me still being in "go kart" mood went for it and was passed him before I got to the other side of the lights. Very satisfying albeit a bit naughty as I was still running the engine in.

What the heck, I enjoyed it.

Loon - yes, I'll add your names to the list.

We made 'Freeman Jnr' start at the back of the grid at Milton Keynes last month, he still got back to third place. But not past me in 2nd. :-)

We now have about 14 people, I only need 15 to make the event definite so its looking good.

Paul - I've added you to the list too.

I'll ask for payment soon to confirm your places.

Oh peter! Freeman jnr has laid the gauntlet down now as he has read your post about him finishing behind you, and as he cut his teeth on indoor circuits would like to know what the wager will be!!!!!!!!!!!!?

If he starts from the back again I'll put a pound on it...

There's confidence for you.

Actually the format will be 2 X 25 min races to give some less frequent racers a break in the middle. And 45 mins round a small track can get a little dull.

Some final details of the karting for Thursday night;

Thursday night sees the first TVR City Region Redeye karting for some considerable time.

Here are some points to bear in mind;

A map to the venue can be found at www.theraceway.net/showhtml.asp?ID=9 and you can call the Raceway on 020 7833 1000. The venue is behind Kings Cross station and is signposted from York Way.

The Raceway are asking us to get there at around 21:00 - 21:30 at the latest for the safety briefing.

Any shoes can be used but if you have the opportunity it may be better to wear trainers.

There is a large secure car park next to the venue.

Format is 10 mins timed practice followed by two 25 min races. First grid will be based on qualifiying positions, second on first race finishing positions (tbc).

Entry List as follows;

Peter Nixon
Adrian Duggleby
Phil Harrison
Zanita
Steve Barber
Alex Roebuck
Graham Ingleby
Robin Harris
Tony Freeman (Radical Racer via Pistonheads)
Simon Freeman (Champs of the Future karting, via Pistonheads)
Paul Whitton (TVR owner via Pistonheads)
Danny Luhde-Thompson (maybe)
Dave Lanagan
Tom Smith
Carol Postlethwaite
Peter Reynolds
Scott Bradley
Lee Dormon
Jeremy Copp
Dan Myers

Beer at Dirty Dicks follows on Monday 3rd February so the carnage on Thursday night can be discussed at great length there. If you have missed out on this event but are interested in the future, I'll be arranging something else fairly soon.
