Hello again, last time I posted on here I was looking for advice on buying a Cerb in Summer last year. However you all managed to put me off with horror stories and the running costs. So in the end I went out and bought an M3 Evo Convertible instead. However having had this for about 8 months now the novelty is wearing off and the craving for some Blackpool power is back again and this time I will not let you put me off. Besides which I have managed to spend close to £2000 since I have had it so its not exactly a cheap option anyway.

So I will be trying to sell the M3 shortly and looking to replace it with a Cerbera. Obviously if any of you fancy going the other way and doing a part exchange that would be ideal. I'll give you all the details of my car if you like.

My budget will be limited to about £16000 and I have seen there are quite a few around that price now. Ideally a 4.5 but I'd be more than happy with a well sorted 4.2. If any of you can suggest a suitable car please feel free.

I live near Aberdeen so it would also be good to hear from any Cerbera owners in the area who may be willing to let me have a look at there car and point out what I should be looking for when I go to view them.

Also if any of you are interested I went to look at a Cerbera that is currently undergoing an engine rebuild at a garage in Aberdeen. I can well imagine that it must be the worst example in the country. The body is in a right state as is the chassis and the interior that I could see. The car will soon be for sale (Green 4.2 '96) for £14K when it is all tarted up. Just to let anyone thinking of travelling to look at it not to bother.

a frind of mine bought an m3 coupe a few months ago, it cant keep up with the cerb, and it was SO quite and sedate compared to it! Go for it, the cerb will be SO much more fun!

Thanks for the encouragement, well thats the BMW flown through its Inspection I, so time to get it looking shiny, take some pics and get it up for sale.

Now I just wish they would send me offshore to earn a bit more money so I can stretch to a good 4.5. Can't wait to start looking.

Good for you sir - go for it, you will not regret it.

Sorry to hear you were put off previously - remember, for every one horror story, there are at least twenty good ones

Just remember to get a yellow one - they are faster, and scientifically proven to be more pleasureable to the opposite sex
