Just got home and found that a vehicle has demolished part of my wall.

There are skid marks on the road/pavement and some black scuffs on the pillar that was knocked down but no note or anything so a non reported accident.

Anyone any suggestions as to what I should do next?

You could ask around the neighbours to try and find someone who saw the incident and took the number - but your chances are pretty slim. I think you'll just have to get the wall rebuilt.

Maybe ask the neighbours if they saw something. Possibly all the local Police station, they may have a report or the car may have been abandoned further down the road. I think you'll probably be calling brickies in the next few days, sorry mate.

Think yourself lucky. I had a British Army tank demolish a wall last year and he drove on. They only admitted to it when I produced the ammo box that was wedged in the remains of the wall.

check with your insurers as well - Building insurance may very well cover you.

It certainly paid out when our 8ft garden wall was blown over in a mini hurricane a few years back.
