Odd noise

I know I have just changed my CV joints. Okay here goes, tried the spirited driving as mentioned on another thread to cure a sticking mileometer, a noise comes from the rear of the car under hard acceleration and deceleration. I also have just filled the fuel tank and the noise sounds a hollow metallic clang. Could this be the sender in the tank taping away on the tank itself???? I have had a look around under the car and it all looks fine. Anyone shed some light on the situation, cheers, a slightly baffled steve j.

Have the same. Symptoms identical and most pronounced on roundabouts with a 1/3 tankfull. ie lots of sloshing around.

All started about 10 years ago when I had to replace the fuel sender.....
