Just picked up my first Porsche on Saturday, a spanking new 2.7 Boxster, haven't been able to get the grin off my face ever since

Looks fantastic, Meridian, black leather interior and the new style 17", no going back to a 'normal' car now!

And to top it all, the heated seats make it ideal for getting the roof down

Congratulations. Arguably the most finely balanced car in the entire omnicosmuniversalgalaxyverse.

Don't forget to post a photo, will you?

Cheers. I'll take a couple of pics at the weekend after I've cleaned it and post them.

Great and keep the roof down !

You can't beat winter driving with the hood down heater up and the heated seats on.

Congratulations

Excellent news.

Another Porschephile on board. The "first porsche" grin takes a couple of years to subside.

Meridian is a slightly darker silver than the regular artic silver you see on many Porsche. It is almost Titanium in colour, but nowhere near as dark as seal Gray..I really like the colour and when I ordered mine it was a close thing.

Cool! There nothing like it...picking up the new car...marvellous.

We "Boxster Boys" ought to do a meet next spring....it'd be fun to line 'em up somewhere scenic then take in a roof-down drive...

Don,
Can you leave it to later on in the year when I'll have mine!

Don,
From what you are saying I perhaps should spec the car soon rather than leaving it until March then?

My car should be on the production line as I type and I can't wait. I've been without a Porsche for 2 months now and it hurts. Nothing better than top down driving when its this cold - with your bum being gently toasted by the heated seats.

Anyone have any idea how long it takes from production to delivery? My car is scheduled week 50 build.

My car rolled off the production line on 25th march. I drove it out the showroom on tuesday 9th april. The car arrived at the dealership on the thursday 4th april.

The garage initially advised me anything from 2 to 4 weeks after the production date.
