Guys, I have a question regarding leathers that I cannot find info on the web anywhere.
I purchased a set of BKS leathers a few years ago and in hindsight my colur choice was a bit on the daft side ie casrtol green and red!!! Looked lovely at the time but as time has moved on I feel a complete numpty now wearing them. My question is, has anyone redyed
their leather to another colour succesfully. Ideally I would want black and I suppose if anything is going to work it will be in this colour.....otherwise, anybody want to buy some BKS leathers?

Whereabouts are you?

Southern based racer types seem to flock towards Nine Lives in Guildford for repairs (which ofter includes re-dyeing).

To do a whole suit wouldn't be cheap I wouldn't have thought. Also a lot of leather used for race suits is surface treated to give it some small degree of resistance against water and general grime etc so getting the leather to take the dye might be hard work or, worse still, patchy.

Might be cheaper in the long run to buy some more leathers or perhaps Colin Edwards replica SP-1!

E-Bay is your friend. One mans meat an all that. You might also find a suitable substitute pair as well
