How long's your journey? The pipe might have iced up and not had time to defrost. Failing that try the old pin-in-the nozzle trick, maybe the fine hol where the water squirts out is clogged. This is a bugger to do as it's easy to get the nozzle pointing the wrong way - I tape the pin to a thin length of bamboo or something straight so I can get a feel for where it's aiming.

Can you hear the pump priming (you should be able to hear it)?? If not then pump / electrics.

If so then remove the tubing from the washer jets themselves to see if it works, if so then your jets are blocked. A bit of dental floss tends to help.

Thanks... just nipped out and there is no sound at all when I use the washer...could it be the fuse gone if I tried to use it when it was frozen? Does anybody know which fuse it is - my manual at home, i'll try and fin out online but if anybody happens to know or has any other suggestions?

Thanks again

Check the plug on the pump first. The fuse for the wipers is No.4 and it looks like tha washer pump is on the same circuit.

Beginning to sound like the pump has gone.

Call Halfords and see if they have one (don't know what car it's off but the Elise normally appears in their lists if it's available), if so, buy a bottle of mineral water and drive roof off to get the pump - pour water on the screen as required.
