What happened to the recent crashed cerbs? Did owners buy them off ins companies?
I found an ad on ebay for a guy who supplies parts and claims to repair. Might be worth comparing his prices to other bodyshops.

That'll be PHer plasticman - he makes up his own moulds and body panels and does bodywork repairs, clever guy. Definitely worth getting in touch with him for a competitive quote if you're around Bedfordshire way.

Mine was CAT B so the insurance company wouldn't allow me to buy it back as it could only be used for spares and something about the law stating the parts needed to be logged when sold individually.

...and mine's being evaluated at the moment. Insurance company today asked me how much I wanted to finish the matter, as they are afraid it will take ages to fix and they are paying car hire!

I told them a figure - full replacement value including mods, upgrades and repairs I'd done - and they said they'd consider it!

How about getting £10k from them plus car returned to you. Could fix for a lot less than Ins quoted bodyshops.

Mine has been classed as a Cat B so it can't be repaired only broken up for parts.

I'm still waiting for the plate transfer before the Ins company settle. They won't sell me the car but I can purchase it from the salvage co who are currently holding it.

Repair bill was put at £20k

Will keep you all posted with any progress
