Flip Bonnet Hinge

Tuscan 2 - The fibre glass supporting the flip bonnett hinge has snapped - has anyone experianced this fault before - is it a warranty issue or insurance claim?

Hmm, at first sight I would have thought this was a clear cut warranty claim and if you have an understanding dealer then you shouldnt have too many probs. There could however be the issue as to whether or not the service bonnet was forced back against the hinges too forcibly and caused the crack. Were you just checking fluids or trying to get access to the main bonnet nuts? If the latter then the bonnet does have to go way back against the hinges.Still dont think it should crack though.

I just noticed the gapping around the flip bonnett was uneven, and then noticed it was higher one side, after further investigation I noticed it was snapped. Taken the car into the dealer who is slightly unsure whether it can be repaired on the warrenty.

UPDATE-Got the car back from the dealer - all ok no charge - thanks Gatwick TVR.
