Hi All,

A few questions I've come across in my short GTL career....

I generally use the online setups, has anyone actually seen a marked improvement by putting the hours into the setup to bring the lap times down? I tend to find oversteer/understeer tendancy and gear ratios is all I need to change.

Reliablity. Is it random? On the long race we did at Spa I got an electrical problem. Is this "reliablity" determined by the server settings or how I drive, or both? I seem to remember in GPL that if you held the gears longer the reliability of the car in general is effected?

Do you drive full tilt for the 10 lap or 30 mins races? Is tyre-life an important factor? I can feel them warm up but dont seem to notice the grip decreasing...

THe shortcut chat keys - how do I use them? I've set them up and cant seem to use them? I need to stop swereving down the straight when I am trying to appologise for cutting someone up?!

Rob, I've tried some of the online setups but never really found any that were particularly better than what I fiddle with. They could be posted by anyone anyway. I tend to increase the camber of the front to dial out understeer, find the optimum gear ratio for the circuit, change the brake balance and the steering ratio. Everything else I leave alone.

I've never, ever had a reliability problem so either I'm a gentle driver or it's pretty random.

The tyres do tend to go off if you run full tilt for over 10 laps

You have to map a key to each shortcut from the 'controls' section of Options. Then you have to go into the 'multiplayer' section of Options and enter what each key will say.

Same as you - I only usually change these things. I do mess around with the cars I use the most for a long period.. wouldn't devote hours to each if I were you.. mostly a reasonable online setup will do

Reliability is decided by the server I think, and usually is nothing to worry about..

I have experienced losses of grip, and yeah is easy to tell the difference when they warm up . For most of our races you can drive as you do on new warm tyres and not change your driving style much.. for a few hour enduro races you might want to start changing.. but as of now it hasn't been too bad for me. A good setup could change any probs you are having, see #1

Reeet. In your settings, you can set quickchat keys under the 'Multiplayer' part. After that, you then map the quickchats to buttons in Controller settings, where you set accelerator and brake key etc.. but the bit you are looking for is under 'extra'. You will also have to scroll down the list to find them which is a bit of a common error! Took me a while to find you could scroll!

Cheers! Dave.
