Hot Neon
Dodge Neon SRT-4 is Dodge's response to the Scooby in the USA
Discussion
To be honest how many so called "performance" cars from the US do ANY kind of competition.
Seem to remember some of the older Neons being used in competition though...

Boomtown rat with a neon heart
qte...
Everybody screamed and roared for more
Lonestar angels shouting encore
Time was the enemy we had to kill it dead
The clock kept creeping round so we went to bed instead ... unqte
Ouch, those yanks .... Not really my cup of tea. As cold as permafrost I would say.

yeah, you brits are right, Neons don't have much street cred in the US either, but the fact remains that Dodge has its fans and in a country with 35g's avg salary and an urge to go fast, Dodge will sell plenty of SRTs. Its not about Subaru at all, which are considered station wagons here. Its about Hondas, Toyotas, and everything else getting souped-up. The SRT is just Dodge's Civic SI (fwd, 4-pot...)
