The temperature sender is on the LH side of the block underneath where the induction pipes connect to the plenum.

Can't help with the buttons I'm afraid.

On my S2 I have buttons next to the lighter, they operate the electric adjustable mirrors. One switch is a selector for left or right mirror, the other switch adjusts the mirror selected. Hope this helps.

Cheers on the Sender..

The buttons are on the other side of the lighter under the dash, you can't see them clearly they are about 8mm x 3mm.. Blooming strange feel like rubber.

Don't be silly, I did think they may have been for the heated seats, or air con... I think I may have to take the dash apart to find where the wires go. So that means by monday I will be asking how to put the whole car back together again.
