Just a one off late night episode where they all talk like "propa cocknee's".

"F**K off Pat you fat lesbian!" Would make a great opening line.

haven't watched eastenders for years, or any other soap for that matter. I'm usually doing something infinitely more preferable, like ripping off my own knackers or something.

I hate soaps, they always seem to show the very worst of human behaviour. I have no idea why people choose to watch it.

Problem with English soaps is they are always about peasants. At least American soaps (Phallus, Dysentery etc) had money and intrigue.

Probably because it doesn't make their own lives seem so depressing

I think there's a lot of truth in that.

What's wrong with wearing knickers?

I can't understand why anybody would choose to waste half an hour of their day watching the worst actors in the world unconvincingly pretending to be dysfunctional common people shouting at each other .

if you're a fan but need more time to yourself, let me short-circuit the next sixth months worth of scripts for you:

character A (in hushed yet threatening tones): leave it aaat.

character B (in startled but equally hushed threatening tones): ave a word.

character C(in squealy shrill tone akin to dental drill): I'm pregnant inni?

character A (in hushed yet threatening tones): leave it aaat.

character B (in startled but equally hushed threatening tones): ave a word.

repeat ad nauseum.
