Could someone please explain to me why the size 3 and a half shoes in a well known clothing establishment are on the top shelf and therefore almost unreachable for the average size 3 and a half shoe wearer?! Why can't they be put at the bottom of the shelf and the taller people with bigger feet can reach their shoes without bending over and those of us who are at a height disadvantage don't have to stretch/jump/ask for assistance?

Shoes were nice though!

Because then blokes can relieve the tedium of accompanying a girl shoe shopping by watching leggy girls bending over and shorter girls bouncing up and down.

One of the few benefits of having to go into women's clothing shops....

Though I've seen some great and decidedly not so great sights while sitting by the fitting rooms. If they're going to have mirrors in there, they really ought to have bigger doors.

I have missed a trick there. My rev-limiter is happy to go shopping on her own - perhaps I should show some more 'interest'?

Oi! I make one stereotypically female post...

(Actually I hate shopping and this just annoyed me even more!)

Commiserations Lexie. As if shoe shopping isn't bad enough already I have had similar problems too in a leading high street store. I decide to never shop there again for shoes after a sales assistant suggested using insoles. "In a pair of £100 shoes? You must be joking!"

Perish the thought! You might be able to walk more than 100 metres without moaning that your feet hurt......

At least you can find shoes in your size, being size 12+ makes it very difficult and expensive indeed.

I object to that comment! I once walked 45 blocks across NYC because I never had taxi fair I'll have you know I never moaned once. Admittedly one more block and I would have had to be carried or my feet amputated

I know exactly how you feel. I'm 5ft tall, how am I supposed to reach a shelf that is 7ft high. Then again I struggle to find shoes (I'm a 2 and a half shoe size). Then again its the same with clothes the smaller sizes are higher up while the tents and lower down.
