Can anyone recommend music to listen to as I pound the streets and the treadmill please? Must have a good beat to keep me focussed, also my stride tends to fall intime to the music so it needs to be quick(ish)! Someone should make an hour long mix of tracks with the same tempo, t'would make my life easier! These are the last few tracks I listened to on the treadmill.

Warm-up
Hard-Fi - Cash Machine
Gorillaz - Dare
Elton John - Ready for love (Remix)
Run
Bodyrockers - I Like The Way You Move
The Weekend - Michael Grav V Powerhouse
Freeloaders - Much Love to Give
Shapeshifters - Back to Basics (bit too slow, but I like it)
Todd Terry - Something's Going On
Poker Pets feat Nate James - Lovin' You
Soul Central - Strings of Life (the chorus of this track is about the right beat for me when I'm running at 5.5min/km)

I've just been given my first iPod so I'm keen to get something on there for tomorrow's run.

Over to you, thanks

In going with your selection of tracks, I recommend:

Audio Bullys: the things

Daft Punk: technologic

Stone Roses: Fools Gold

they're 3 completely different tracks, probably not to your taste but have the right beat.

I find sirens help...

Oh and dig out the original versions of Strings of Life (Derrick May) and So much love to give (Thomas Bangalter & DJ Falco). They are in every way, superior.

There is an instrumental piece of music used in the film "Gallipoli",i think its taken from "Tubular Bells",excellent for running.

Ive downloaded a long playing version off Chicanes "Saltwater" (featuring Clannads Maire Brennan)as used in the Ireland Add with the guy running on the beach.

Sash..Encore Une Fois.
Todd Terry..Somethings going on.

Woops see youve already got TT

Good choices and exactly the stuff I normally like, Fools Gold seems a tiny bit slow, and 9mins 54secs is a long long time to run slowly! I've moved into dance music mainly due to the beat.

well it will ensure a proper warm up!

In thinking about dance music, how about:

Armon Van Heldon- You don't know me
DJ Tiesto- Traffic (close to 7 mins though but its a fast paced song)

not my kind of thing otherwise, but 'come with me' by puff diddly is great to run to. perfect in fact. adding that has taken two minutes off my run of late.

Have both already, and you're spot on with them.

Nervy, about to seek out your track, will report back shortly I trust this means I'll be able to make it to 5min/k in the next week.!

It's Jean Michel Jarre's "Oxygene".

trust me, its just the ticket. however, dont listen to it in the car with the windows down else groups of girls at bus stops will laugh their head off at you. probably.

Not overly familiar with them, so did a random preview of a couple of tracks; Implant, Kings & Queens. Not really ideal for me to run to.

You have to picture me singing along as I run. (I know, I know!)
