I somehow keep injuring myself at the moment. The past 3 days have been quite painful. On monday, I managed to burn myself 3, yes, 3 times on bits of metal I had been cutting/grinding/sanding. Yesterday I somehow managed to stab my first finger on my right hand with a (blunt) flat head screw driver, and the cut is quite painful now.

And today, I managed to cut my head open on a light. I was climbing over a table, and caught the top of my head on a glass light above me. I reached up becasue it hurt a bit, looked at my hand and thought "hmmm...blood, that can't be good".

Anyone else having bad luck at the moment?

I came downstairs this morning, three at at time as i do, fell over some potted plants on the little landing (circles) then whacked my head full bore into the ceiling (red line) above the three steps at the bottom. i fell on my back on the three steps, blood pouring over face, head ringing, with bits of plaster all around. still have a massive lump.
worst of all, ive still got to patch up the ceiling where my head bashed the hole!

Nice diagram there bluespanner sounds pretty painful though, and ruining the ceiling

BlairOut, I think I know what you are talking about I went out on Saturday in just jeans to go into town to do some shopping quickly, then went out again for a proper ride with my armoured gear on. I have to admit I rode faster and more confidantly with my armour on, probably a bad idea as I was still at the same risk but psychologically I felt much safer. Till some woman almost killed me by swerving towards me because a car came towards her as she tried to overtake me on a blind S bend

Given how ill you are you really shouldn't be messing with power tools or sharp implements. It's no surprise that you're injuring yourself.

Given your low levels of seratonin I'm concerned that these are not accidents, but ham fisted attempts to top yourself.

Have you tried the Samaritans?

The stuff in that thread yesterday (insomnia, low serotonin etc) isn't something I have. Well, I don't think I do. someone is doing research into a medical condition and believes that all those things are linked to it in some cases. Long story.

And no, I'm not trying to top myself. I don't think I could cut my head on a circular glass light if I tried to anyway

I dropped a TV on my head (concussion & electric shock), fell down my stairs & fell in my pond (hitting my head, and trapping my fingers in the nip point of two moving paving slabs) in a three month spell.

Not all lager induced either.

"dear"? You're making me sound like an old woman! And I'm going to bed in about 20 minutes anyway. Looking forward to the weekend though

I've managed to avoid serious injury today!

Only got hurt a tiny bit by some metal shavings flying off a plate I was drilling (stupid teacher telling me it didn't need clamping! ).
