tyre question - decision help !!?

Hi all - am exchanging my 18inch spiders tomorrow for some refurbed ones. One wheel has a great tyre on it. Cant decide whether to bother getting it taken off tomorrow morning before doing the swap or not!!??!
It is a Toyo T1s 235 40 ZR18 with 5.5 - 6 mm of tread.
I could leave it on the wheel.
or I could pay a fiver (?) to a tyre place and take off the tyre (to sell or make a swing for the kids) !!
I would not want the tyre for me as I have a cerb and need different size.
Decisions!!!! ????

If you are getting the same tyres put on, I would keep it in case you get a puncture. If that should happen you would be very glad if you had a nearly new tyre to match the opposite wheel!

It is a Tuscan size tyre not a cerb size. So wont need it for a spare. Just seems a shame as I am sure it is wrth £40 to someone who has a puncture.
