What's writing to disk?

Anyone know a tool I can use to see what's writing to disk almost constantly?
Perfmon shows the pagefile is staying at a rigid 12% capacity and page writes is negligible.
It's a Dell D610 laptop with 1GB of Ram, windows XP. Nothing much running except for Outlook and Firefox...
System idle running at above 95%, although VMware keeps popping in and grabbing 2% of cpu every 3secs or so. VMware is not running, but is certainly installed
