Hi guys, i know there was a similar thread the other day but this is slightly different. My MIL light keeps coming on.
the last time i took it to the dealer and he said there was no reported fault and didn't know why it came on, and turned the MIL light off. the other day it came on again, did what someone said (4 re-starts) and yes it turned itself off. Yesterday it came on again but has not gone off after the 4 re-starts.
Its a bit weird because the times that it has come on it is always about 1 minute after i start my journey and i drive up a steep hill out of the village i live in. It nearly always comes on at the same place, is it perhaps something to do with the engine being cold?, dodgy sensor? (i don't go fast when i drive out the village if this helps)
thanks for any advice

Take it you've the Toyota engine? Mine has done this twice in exactly the circumstances you describe - on a steep hill out of the works car park.

Edit. I'm sure it's a cold issue - both times it was freezing - and maybe a tilt effect somehow.

I had a similar thing, my mil light came on when I was out for a run around.
Westover(local dealer)could find no fault and reset it.They told me if its flashing its a problem but just on could be just a sensor. Then it came on a couple of weeks later, and does so from time to time. Never comes on at track days but mostly when I go for a longish drive at moderate speeds. I think it may be a dodgy lambda sensor, I hope Westovers will sort it in the service.
Phil.

Mine too - came on a while ago and went off after 4 starts. The today about a minute into my journey pops up again. Give it a few days and see but if it starts flashing don't drive it. Can be for numerous reason many relating to emissions. Personally mine happens when cold and I think it maybe unburnt fuel.

Watch out but don't panic !

Edit: K series 135R
