I'm sitting here watching "This Week" on telly. I find that I agree with most of which he's actually saying. However, I find him hard to like and easy to dislike. He seems smarmy and creepy to me. so much so, I find myself willing Diane Abbot to win the argument (prat that she is).

Am I alone in the world?

Subconciously, you're worried he's trying to get into your pants.
Subconciously, you're worried you might like it.

Me?

I'd love to see Diane Abbot in my pants - and seeing the Fire & Rescue service trying to get her out again.

I think you have answered your own question.

Most politicians make a lot more sense when they are out of power.

So, Mr Invisible, what do you know that we don't know about Pagan?

When he did that swap thing where he was a single mother for a week he was actually very likeable, but he does come across as pretty smug most of the time. That woman though is bloody insufferable.

why don't you like him?

Because you're a good judge of character.

He's bright, quite articulate, and in many ways a good politician. However, a friend worked with him for a while as part of the Conservative machine, and apparently he stood out as a particular shit due to the way he treated quite a few people. Since that time he seems to have tried to "reinvent" himself, and I guess that may be genuine ... who knows?

Spooky doos....

Quote like Portaloo....sorry.

Dianne Abbott, though....grrrrrr. She's on the committee that's going to recommend more firearms restrictions.

And she's a hypocrite....kid at private school while she decries them.

When i look at Portillo i see Lex Luther. (for some reason)
When i look at Diane Abbot i see trouble, shes probably a lovely lady in real life but on the screen she comes across with a right chip or two on her shoulder.

I agree that Diane Abbott is a complete hypocrite, but most Labour politicians are.

Personally I really like Michael Portillo and I was really disappointed that he never got to be leader of our country, however, I can see how he comes across as a bit smarmy and why people don't like him.
