MS Office - help - this is damned annoying!
Discussion
I'm 'working' from home on my laptop which has a copy of MS Office on it. It's licenced for multiple users, but the disks are in our office.
Whenever I open Access, some web pages and sometimes Word I get a little pop up that Office is installing something or other from Microsoft Office XP Professional. It then asks me to insert the set up disk.
Now, I'm pretty sure we just have MS Office, not Office Professional (although I don't know what the difference is between the two).
Anyone know why this is happening; what I do to stop it; or have I changed some setting by mistake to make this happen?
It's driving me nuts and slowing me down as I switch back and forth between applications.
Thanks in advance.

Firstly Access is part of Office Professional and has been for some time. Sedcondly is this the first time you have used the Laptop at Home?? Some Corporate's use the Network for some of the files needed to run Office hence when you take the Laptop on the road you lose functionality.
Right - in that case I must have Professional, but no ... it's not a question of this happening only when I'm out of the office.
I've had the package on here pretty much trouble free for about a year and I have no idea what the catalyst was for starting the problem ... if I had, I could probably correct it.
(I'm wondering about just doing a quick restore, but I'm not sure just how far back the problem does go)

My laptop did this when I had to reinstall some (unrelated) drivers. Every time I opened Word, it was asking for the MS Office Pro CD so that it could run a translation package I use.
In the end, I just inserted the CD as requested. It didn't do much that was apparent - but that annoying message hasn't been back since.
