Was looking at the new Chimaerapages.com site and found the link to Andys rebuild. Just wanted to say that i thought it was fascinating. Im new to TVRs and whilst i knew i could go buy a Haynes for the Rover 500 and see how its built, Andys article is not quite as 'heavy'. It had clear photos and simple descriptions of what he did / problems he had. Very methodical to !

As he says on the site, its not a 'how to' or a step by step, but gives one a great idea of how these engines are bolted together, as well as demonstrating some of the differences between the standard engine, the TVR engine and some 'group a' upgrades.

I found myself wanting to go find an old RV8 and recon it myself for fun!

Thanks again Andy !

The version on the chimaerapages is better laid out than the one on thegriffithpages (though I would say that as I did it!! ) - so one up for the chimaerapges there.
