Hi. I was wondering if there are companies that will help with the preparation and set up of a racecar that you already own. Not looking for full-on raceday support deal, just to help with set up/doing some work on an irregular basis if I run out of time.

See if you can find alocal independant race team, they've got the skills and resources and will probably be grateful for the extra money.

depends on the car really but West-Tec helped the guy that did "Kit Car Crisis". I can't remember what car he had, it was something like a Westfield XTR (mid mounted Hyabusa engine) and they did a load of checks on it before he went to Rockingham for the first day testing.

Have a hunt through the motorsport section of the www.oilypages.com/ and the classifieds there are some good companies that will cater for all your needs in there

Not exactly in your locality, and I have no connection with them apart from living not too far away from Kemble, but Neil Garner seems to provide the sort of service you are looking for.

Hi. I am near High Wycombe.

Thanks for all the tips. It feels a bit odd calling up a lot of these race teams. Helping out a club racer is really is something they would consider doing? I guess, in the end, money is money.

There are a lot of race teams out there that do exactly as you ask. Many of those race teams you may have dismissed make their money out of looking after club level racers who just need some assistance.

Can't remember who is in the Wycombe area - been to long since I was really local but there are bound to be a few outfits around there thanks to the M40 being so close. I get my support from Wolf Direct Racing in Essex (bit of a long run from Wycombe). Only other outfit I am familiar with is Mark Fish Motorsport...

Whats the car Jason?

Moore Racing are round Milton Keynes somewhere, and I know a few racers on here use them.

Cheers,

Pete
