gt2 upgrades..??

hi there.. anyone upgraded there gt2.. just got mine last week.. if so what are the best opinons...?? THINK I NEED TRACTION CONTROL AT THE MINUTE....!!!

I would suggest not ugprading any car until you have had a good few months of experience driving it. I would say that is doubly so with a GT2.

Last year Evo did a test on the 04 mdl GT2 with a 580bhp DMS upgrade - different cats, sports exhaust etc...... reckoned it was fantastic. But it was an 04 mdl with the revised suspension etc, so more easily kept on the black stuff. If I was looking to mod a pre 04 car, I'd get the suspension sorted 1st and then look at performance......

TRUE... CAR SEEMS TO UNDERSTEER ALOT.. PROBABLY SET UP THAT WAY FROM FACTORY... FRONT END CAN FEAL A BIT LIGHT AT TIMES... DOES IT NEED TO BE RAISED AT THE BACK.... DROPPED AT FRONT...??????? ANY ADVICE..

KLEONARD ; i also drove one with only 9k on the clock and still had the same opinion ....the GT3RS is a far superior drivers car ( in my eyes ).

Sambaman, I have driven Karls GT2 and I have driven RS's, turbos etc.. GT2 will leave anything for dead, and you can drive to the shops for the milk and not look like Tim Harvey. Karl is looking for upgrade advice not smart answers like yours. Not his fault you bought a lemon

LOOKS GREAT..SAME AS MINE...SILVER...nice to get chatting to someone who knows about cars.... do you find the front of the gt2 to push on straight (understeer) alot... have you played around with ride heights to help cure this...?? what handling mods have u done if any... and what results if so..??

So now you have a gt2, only fellow owners know about cars.

Again I would strongly suggest getting used to your car before you modify it.

caps off..... car is very different than my old gt3 mk1... when i first got car the roads were very slippy... found the car wanted to spin wheels everywere... could not rev it past 4k... good crack all the same but hairy at times... you would be faster in a civic type r up the back roads due to the traction issues.... Then came a few dry days and i have started to enjoy the power... overtaking speeds are savage... think front of car is a bit light at 100 mph also, does not have the same feel as my gt3.. not as much feed back from the steering also compared to the mk1 (having said that no other car out there probably gives as much as a mk1 through the steering wheel).... brake pedal is rock hard.. savage brakes...!!! can wait to get more miles in her in the dry to start sliding car around... car needs a lot of respect compared to a gt3.....???

theses are my first thoughts... after more miles i will be more comfortable in car and address certain issues.. maybe a trip to parr in liverpool to get it to be more pointy on the turn in like my old gt3 mk1...!!!
overall savage.. but needs learning...!!!
