Unbelievable, with placards calling for the beheading of anyone that insults Islam and the police just stand by. Should be deported if they cant "get a life".

so what do you suggest we do about it?.... maybe we should round up the ring leaders and have public crucifixions!!

Public stonings would be more culturally appropriate.

Surely that's incitement, and is therefore a criminal offence?

Or is this government too politically correct to apply 'race laws' both ways?

Can't they be arrested for inciting racial hatred or something? Whats the bet that if it was Christians doing the same thing, they'd have been locked up, but because Islam is a minority group they can't be seen as too hard on them.

All IMO and I have nothing against anyone of another race/religion.

Since when are Muslims a minority group? Fastest growing religion in the world.

I wonder how ordinary every day Muslims view the demonstration yesterday?

They don't seem to be able to take their own medicine. They're always putting caricatures of the jewish and christian faiths in their papers.

Or am I talking Bollox?

There was a bit on the BBC news last night where plod very firmly asked a chap in his white van who disagreed with the sentiments to move on and not say anything at the demonstrators - one rule for one...?

Sorry, it should have been "minority group" in inverted commas.

I would imagine the police knew that there would have been even more trouble had they arrested or stopped these people.

the daily mail has some interesting cartoons in it today - its the cartoons printed by the arab press about the jews and to say they are offensive is a huge understatement. for the muslims to get upset about a cartoon yet condone the mocking of other religions is hypocrisy at its most extreme.

It just goes to show that the slightest provocation is all that's needed. I find it unbelievable that thousands of people can get so irate about something so trivial.
Now, what was we saying about Iran and the bomb?

If that isn't "Intent to incite racial/religious hatred" I don't know what is.

Anyone suggesting beheading British citizens is OK in any way and for any reason is, to my mind, using a good deal more than "threatening" language.

Prosecutions should follow.

If they don't we'll know what a lily-livered bunch of appeasement-surrender-monkeys WE'VE got in charge.

There's making peace. And there's tolerating terrorism and the support of terrorism. The latter should require action.
