After living through most of the "Cold War",i cant remember a time around the world when things were so strained, very worrying and i hope there are some important people out there that have been brushing up on their diplomacy skills, and i dont mean "My bombs bigger than your bomb".

Thats the thing with this whole situation... It seems to be escalating, rather than calming...

This situation of polarising Islam against the west is playing into their hands. Its exactly what they want to happen.

Crikey would the Fench keep their word aout flattening anyone?

As someone eminent once said, "You can always rely on the French to be there when they need you..."

I would no more trust Chirac than I would eat a snail. (Which is never going to happen BTW).

Honestly, if Islamic law prohibits such depictions, that law should apply to Muslims. Are they so arrogant to believe the rest of us should adhere to this? What they are doing is wrong, period. I would have some respect if our Muslim PHers would publicly say this; straight out without a long-winded preface.

Kind of ironic really, the cartoon is showing muslims as being violent (represented by Muhammad) so they burn down the embassy - what signal is that giving out?!

Its like saying "your a bully" - "oi i'm not a bully, say it again and i'll knock you out"

They were showing on the news tonight the protestors, one of whowm was dressed as a suicide bomber. The point being, it may not be such a bad thing, because you can be certain that the intelligence services will be watching each of these people, and their assocites, very closely.

I beleive this is all part of their plan.To cause Tension and to Aggrivate, and to see how far they can push, before it turns to shove. It seems to me they want a Confrontation. And someone will eventually give it to them. Then they can declare they were Attacked by an Angry Mob,Police, whatever for exerciseing "Freedom of Speech".And the rest of the Assholes will start bombing everything. As far as the one that dressed as a Suicide Bomber.I would have had a Sniper turn his Head into chop meat...
