Accumate Says Yes

Accumate has been connected all week and shows a green light suggestin a good battery but the starter motor turns over once and then everything goes dark. I assume this means a new battery or should I be looking elsewhere beforehand?

Does the rest of the car systems work? Wipers, headlights at full beam etc? If so then its not the battery, and then check the starter motor/ solenoid wiring.

Does a Cerbie have a 100 amp fuse? if so check that as well.

If you have the headlights on whilst cranking it and the headlights dim significantly, then I'm led to believe that the battery is faulty.

Tried again a couple of hours later and the starter turned over a couple of times but not enough to start. Seems like the battery to me. Just checking though.

Try connecting some jump leads......

If it still struggles, it's your starter.
If not - new battery time.

check all connections are good like the earth to the battery and the car, the acumate would charge ok because there is little power involved and show ok, but when you crank over the engine then you would not get enough though a bad conection giving the impression of a knackered battery. You never know and it don't cost anything to check.
