Irrefutable scientific evidence that disproves the existence of any god, ever.

I am beginning to think that the militant fundamentalists of all religions need to be deported or locked up. They are simply too dangerous to be given freedom of speech.

Problem with that one mate is that there are those who would take unimanginable offence at the fact that you sought to question it in the first place.

The problem with most religions is that once you accept that you are going to question it, more holes become apparent than a sieve - the whole holds no water so to speak.

Blind faith is what keeps most religions going. Not science.

World peace? - well thats relatively simple. You need an effective police force with effective powers. Not the US, who operate selective policing. But a recognised international authority (not unlike the UN) which has the balls to do whatever needs to be done to keep the place clean.

Ajit.

Agreed - the world needs to ploice itself. Unfortunately, because the UN has so often been shown to be impotent that task has fallen to the few countries that actually have any "balls" - Britain and the US mostly.

The UN needs a massive overhaul, and a commitment to certain fundamental global human rights that will be upheld in each and every country, and if not is prepared to take decisive action against rogue governments to ensure compliance.

Tough, but the only way is to be fair to all.

Tell me about it... I've seen the hoohah a few cartoons caused. Can you imagine being the scientist who came up with the proof. Talk about feeling nervous (No, not that Nervous!)

Perhaps that's why the religious fundamentalists are getting so touchy of late. They can see that science could make things very uncomfortable for them if it continues to advance our knowledge of how the universe came to be. They need to close peoples eyes and ears to open thinking while they still can.

No the new eurofighter needs some practice and the Mosques are as good a place as any to train our young pilots. We need rid of the Allah crap very rapid, then we can start on the greens.

So we can all kill each other for money, power, territory, sex, revenge, political belief or as a pre-emptive strike instead? These reasons will seem really new seeing that religion causes all wars now, won't they? And of course there's an extra couple of incentives in not having religion, no need to stop killing on Sundays and no need to worry about Gods judgement, just seven days a week carefree killing.

Personally I think that irrefutable proof of the existence of God and a divine reminder that you will be judged by God for your sins against your fellow man would bring all wars and all crime to a halt tomorrow.

But that proof will never come... And which version of god would that be anyway?
There's only three reasons for war. Religion, politics and land. We can't erradicate politicians unfortunately, and land is always going to cause the odd squabble, so lets get rid of at least one reason.

I'm too pished for reasoned debate right now, but look at how many people have died in the name of religion. God was handy to imagine a few centuries back before man understood the universe, but these days religion kills more people than it saves. Bring on the scientists I say.
