Hi everybody, I am an owner of a Lotus exige S2, since I am leaving in Switzerland, I do not get a chance to drive my car for the last 5 weeks (snow). So the battery is flat and the biggest problem I have, is I can't open the door, since it is central locking ( with the remote control), turning the key just won't unlock the door. I need to open the battery compartment (the trunk) from the inside. Can somebody help me on this. Thank you...............

This question may get a better response in the Lotus section mate. I can't really help as my Elise hasn't got central locking, although the locks did freeze up the other week.

1 post, and you're asking how to break in to a Lotus.

Sure, we'll tell you exactly how to break into an Exige/Elise having disconnected the alarm system. And you definatly won't try and steal other peoples cars.

Very suspicious...

OK, wise to be cautious but let's give Yan the benefit of the doubt.

I suggest you contact a Lotus dealer Yan. Welcome to PH.

Hi,

On the front clam there are two access panels. One of the panels hides a pair of terminals
connected to the battery so that you can re-charge it. You will still need the alarm fob/key
to get in the car once the battery is charged.

cheers

Thank you for some of you, giving me the response. However I will just call my dealer tomorrow, since my tool box is as well in the trunk of the exige, couldn't even open the front penals...

Hi all,

Just called my dealer and he told me the same thing to open the left panel and will find the place to recharge the battery. Now I just need to get the tool to open it. :-)
