A better suggestion for a cooker is a Coleman dual fuel dual burner stove. The dogs bollox in burners! Run it in unleaded and it provides more cooking power than you can use! You'd never go back to Gaz!! Buy a griddle to over the top of both burners and cook breakfast for the hoards! Costco have them for 49 quid at the moment - any extra purchase cost is outweighed by not having to buy camping caz.

Fridge is a good idea, we have the combicool version. I don;t bother to plug mine in on the way down - it takes up loads of room so we use it to pack the cooking gear into and then fire it up when we get down there. Mine works fine like that.

Final words of wisdom - remember that you can't buy Calor Gas in France only Camping Gaz and this needs a different regulator.

Steve, believe me - you want a Coleman! It's a proper boys cooker!

Sunncamp isn't a bad make, but none of the gaz cookers produce the same power as the Coleman.

We initially bought a cheap JML griddle from Woolies (5 quid) to go over the top of it. They don't last too long before they start to flake so we bought a better one but at 5 quid a throw they are pretty disposable so no need to wash it!

No you need a real mans cooker the coleman duel fuel. It will run on unleaded petrol lot of FLAME and heat!!!! Ups will boil a kettel in under 90 seconds and do toast. Downs it will melt most cheap pots and pans.

The best accessory is a folding chair especially one with a beer holder in the arm.

And a camping bed. Makes all the difference not waking up having been stabbed to death by stumpy grass all night.

Unless you have some strange food allergy you can just buy everything you need (except bacon) from the many supermarkets in the LM area.

Yep - I don't understand the fascination for taking food to Le Mans. The stuff in French supermarkets is great and cheaper than here. (with the exception of bacon of course!!)

Luckily Santa managed to fit one in my stocking this Christmas past. The BiL doesnt have one and I shall be rubbing his nose in it as much as possible
