I've just broken in to the boot of my 968 cab for the third time - I'm now an expert. push down trim around cab roof base, slide hand in, release rear seat back locks, fold them down, empty boot contents into cabin, remove all clothing from upper body, slide in as far as I can go then anchor feet, breathe right OUT (very important) so i can push myself in just far enough to stretch tips of fingers to boot lock release, extricate self before running out of oxygen.

am mow thinking of career in cave diving or potholing.

its the same problem each time, the cabling for electric relese has a little metal sheath which fits into a semicircular bracket, and the sheath pops out now and again, particularly if the boot is closed vigorously.

problem now (i think) sorted by wrapping blutack around metal sheath before inserting back into bracket. feels solidly bedded and has passed the boot-slam test 10 times

i wonder if a peter morgan car inspection would pick up that my car is now officially held together with blutack?

Could you keep a small oxygen cylinder in the boot, just in case

not a bad ieda. though the main problem is expanding the ribcage at all once youre inside the boot, rather than lack of O2 per se. but maybe could rig to a small explosive charge for emergency use
