I know this isn't a homework help site, and is actually a car forum - but this has left me well and truely stumped.

I've got an essay to write (its well over due now but thanks to an admin hitch they are accepting it) and part of it says:

"what polymeric materials were available to prehistoric man, where did they come from and which ones do we still use and why"

Any help is gratefully received! I only ask here because I know you are all such lovely and clever people

I shall now stop grovelling

edit - Can someone please put a title in - yet again I've failed to do it

They should as both are organic and polymer in construction.

You are a genius! Bees wax (it turns out) contains long chain hydrocarbons and all sorts. Did you know its used to coat certain foodstuffs?

Bl00dy hell, it was years ago that I did anything remotely sciencey. It just kind of stuck in my head, that's all. I'd offer to google it for you, but frankly it's your homework

Edit to add - But I can still have a cookie, right?

I'm just in the process thank you. Not quite sure how all of this relates to a Materials Engineering degree, but I'll do it to keep all the bigwigs happy.

Answer - casein is a polymer found in milk.

Well done - you too deserve a cookie
