I've been a 'glym user for years now, never really considered changing until:
a) getting fed up with white residue highlighting my ever-growing collection of stone chips and
b) everyone round here going on about Zymol.
Is Zymol better than Autoglym? and if so, why?
And does Zymol hide or highlight stone chips?
Cheers.

Hi refill, give zymol a try you will not be dissapointed.
Without getting too technical carnauba is what protects the cars paint and repells water, the average product available contains only 1.3- 1.7% of carnauba whereas zymol contains a minimum of 37% upto 61% so its not just a little, its a huge amount.
the dry finish you are getting is the chalk within the ingredients of which there is none in zymol so you can actually clean the rubbers too

OK, so can I apply Zymol right on top of my layer of autoglym? or should I remove any autoglym coating on the car first? (not sure how I'd do that - Fairy Liquid??)
Forgive me for getting anal about this, but am I right in thinking that the difference between Autoglym and Zymol is in the 'active ingredient' - carnauba v. silicone resin?

when you buy the zymol it seems to best to buy in starter kit form, tel john drake and he will tell you 01590 645623.
in the kit is an item called hd cleanse, this will remove all previous polishes and also works at those terrible swirl marks, although you dont need to hd cleanse before every wax this makes a good base for the wax the first time around

You could try zymol which is good but you need to spend a fair whack to beat the other stuff.
I recently tested the Zymol Titanium against Poorboys Nattys blue.
Needless to say the Nattys is still protecting well and the titanium is doing a not bad job the beading is just not as tight as the Nattys.
I would think Clearkote, Poorboys, Klasse etc are worth a go before spending £££££ on zymol. If you do get zymol then at least buy a different Microfibre as its pretty poor, the nap of the Microfibre is too shallow for my liking.
Try www.detailingworld.co.uk for tips and tricks lol
To buy the products try www.seriousperformance.co.uk, www.cleanandshiny.co.uk or www.polishedbliss.co.uk
Hope that helps you.
