Almost certainly
My 220 made 270 with an AMD chip and remap. What have you had done and how much power is it making?

3 bar FPR-dualport wastegate-55 lb/hr injectors at the moment, not sure of the power, will shortly be getting Lindsey LR 61 turbo and a MAF kit.

I am no expert at all in this - in fact my knowledge is limited to that which I have picked up here. That said I can't see you getting the most out of these extensive mods without doing a roling road remap to ensure the programme being run is optimal for your set up.

Hopefully someone who knows a lot more than me will be along to explain exactly why, but I would be very very suprised if you don't need new software to get the most out of the car

Hi Andy,

Assume you are currently running the AFM Link on your Turbo still? If you hve fitted the 55# injectors and adjusted the Link AFM - you will be close to optimizing your current set-up.

If you go with MAF and Lindsey Racing Super 61 Turbo - we have a specific chip developed to suit the 55# injectors with 3 fuel maps and 4 fuel enrichment settings (+ a further 4 with 2 degrees retarded ignition). The DME chip was dyno tested at Thor Racing and produced over 370bhp.

A rolling road re-map will yield possibly a little more performance. However, we are comparing a well developed off the shelf chip rather than standard software supplied with the 951. Personally, I don't think you will see much change in torque, but I think possibly 15-20bhp peak horsepower could be squeezed from the car with very careful programming of the Wide Open Throttle ignition advance setiings (as well as the higher load values on the partial map). All cars behave differently - hence, a bespoke re-map for your car is likely to acheive the ultimate (if done correctly).

Once you have the LR Super 61 fitted and the MAF kit, take the car to Wayne Schofield in North Manchester and have it dyno tested on Wayne's Bosch dyno. Wayne can then do the final mapping for you to get the maximum power achieveable (don't bother with anybody else - nobody has done as many 944 Turbos as Wayne). You can then clearly see the before and after (needs to be on the same day).

All the best.

Regards,
Andrew
