Hi,

Further to my post about connecting a mobile to your Mac, I have got it set up so that it works to a point. I can transfer files etc which is good, but I cannot use the handset to connect to the internet. I have a feeling this is down to the drivers on the Mac I am using, as the instructions say to select the modem that closely matches your mobile. I have done this, and it attempts to connect, it even starts to load on my mobile, but it constantly hangs up and the connection fails. My question to you all is - do you know where I can get the modem drivers for my Mac to connect to my K608i?

Any help appreciated. I am getting more than a bit frustrated!

P.S. I have a data cable and also Bluetooth, if that makes any difference...

Cheers

A quick google throws up complaints about a lot of the newer SE phones using Bluetooth 2 (rather than the connon 1.x) and this not being very backwardly compatible with 1.x. Connections to BT car kits and headsets failed to maintain their connection, this might be the causing the connection to your phone to drop before connecting.

Have you tried running the Bluetooth Setup Assistant? This asks you what you want to do once it's setup, and I think connect to the internet is one of the options there. You'll need all the suitable network details from your ISP/mobile provider.

Another thought - a lot of modem scripts are available from www.taniwha.org.uk/
