Flights to los angeles
Discussion
Presumably you're trawling expedia etc...which isn't always the cheapest. Cheapest I've found from Scotland to most US (and Canadian) destinations is KLM. And the prices on the KLM site are usually cheaper than expedia etc...plus you can search for cheaper fares + or - a few days.
But try Continental too direct on their site. They rarely come up on expedia as being cheap, but you can get a few pleasant surprises on their site. Plus, its a bit more pleasant than KLM (and you don't feel you're taking one step back for 2 forward by starting out your journey actually heading west, even though the total journey times via AMS to LAX isn't so different to Continental via Newark). Coming back in January I clearly saw my wee town (in Fife) out the window as we passed overhead from Lax to Ams at about 8:30. Eventually got home one flight later at about 15:00.

I'm trying to book flights to los angeles from glasgow for the beginning of august. Cheapest i can find is about £700 return. Now, being scottish, i obviously don't want to pay that much, so does anyone know how i could get cheaper flights? Any companies better than others?
Ta.
no idea about the glasgow bit - but i called USAir direct and found them £50 cheaper than ebookers on a £400 ticket.
