Anybody remember "The Power and the Glory" 13 part series aired on BBC TV over 10 years ago ? (1992ish)
It started with pioneer days in 1890 and 1900's, another on Bently's and Bugatti's right upto present day (early 1990's then). Also had covered Lemans (GT40's etc) the history of F1 (lovely Lotus coverage) and also Landspeed record attempts too. It doesn't really have Schumaker in it, but does cover Moss, Fangio, Senna and Mansell. No SSC record attempt either, but I think it does cover the record attempts well, with interesting commentry from Graig Breedlove. All in all, an excellent 380 minutes worth !!
I've just dug out the video box set, from the back of the cupboard. I wish they did it on DVD.

Yes, Great series - I've got them all on tape too.
And I've got a copy of the accompanying book (dated 1991).

Excellent series, and yet strangely for the BBC they never ever repeated it. Be great if they'd do that and add updates too.
