993 tail switch

Would be grateful for feedback on costs and issues associated with a 993 tail switch - going from original fit turbo aero tail to standard on a 2s.

I had heard to budget £2k. Any direct experience out there on doing this, issues and costs.

I am assuming all appropriate electronics etc are still down there.

Would paint match ( 2S) be an immediate issue as colour coded. Had hoped someone out there might do an opposite swap in which case costs would be much lower.

Whack the turbo spoiler on ebay, PH Porsche parts classified, PCGB forum for sale items, etc. You should get decent money for it; say 800 GBP. Then scour ebay and breakers yards for 993 electric spoliers, all the electrics fit on the underside of the cover, you'd just need to attach the power/control lead plug. However, if a C2S is the same as a C4S it has a different design of grille on the rear spoiler. You'd better check against a few pics etc.

Paint and fitting; budget about 250-300 GBP. The 993 electric rear spoiler should go for maybe 300 GBP, so it should be able to be done for the money you get for your old spoiler, or less.
